Wolfram Mathematica at LSUS

Wolfram Mathematica is a powerful computational software designed to support technical computing, mathematics, and data science. It provides a vast range of mathematical functions and algorithms, visualization capabilities, and programming tools. The software is widely used by students, faculty, and professionals in various fields, such as engineering, physics, finance, and more.

Wolfram Mathematica is now available for LSUS students, faculty, and staff as part of the LSUS SSO ecosystem. This integration makes it easier for LSUS community members to access and use the software for their academic and professional needs.

Instructions for Obtaining Wolfram Mathematica:

  1. Visit the Wolfram Mathematica site information page at https://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo/.
  2. Enter your LSUS email address, and then check the "I agree" box.
  3. Click "Continue" to proceed.
  4. From here, you have the option to launch Mathematica Online by clicking "Go to Mathematica Online," or you can choose to download the desktop version by clicking "Download for Desktop."
  5. If you choose the desktop version, launch and install the software.
  6. On the first launch, you will be prompted with an activation screen. Click "Sign in" under "Activate through your organization (SSO)."
  7. This will open a web browser for you to sign in with your LSUS email address. After signing in, you will be redirected to the LSUS SSO page. If you are already logged into LSUS SSO, you're done. If not, enter your username@lsus.edu and password to complete the sign-in process.

Once you have successfully signed in, you can start using the desktop version of Wolfram Mathematica for your technical computing, mathematics, and data science needs. The software is designed to be user-friendly and provides an intuitive interface, so even if you are new to technical computing, you can quickly get started and explore its capabilities.
