Open Alternative Mailboxes via the Outlook Web Interface

The Outlook Web Interface can be used to access mailboxes other than your primary mailbox provided you have been granted the appropriate permission to do so.

To open an alternative mailbox from the Outlook Web Interface, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into using your email account. (see the following article for more info on logging in: Exchange Online Email Setup : LSUS IT Helpdesk )
  2. At the top-right of the web page, click on your avatar.

  3. Click "Open another mailbox."
  4. Enter the email address or username of the mailbox you wish to open, click the result that appears and then click "Open."
    NOTE: If you are trying to access a mailbox that is dedicated to voicemail (E.g. voicemails to the main number for Arts and Sciences), for the email address, enter "aam" followed by the extension number followed by "" So for Arts and Sciences, you would enter "" as the email address.

You should now be logged into the alternative mailbox. From here you can view emails for this mailbox and send from this mailbox, provided you have been given the appropriate permissions.

To return to your original mailbox, perform the same steps, but enter your email address or username.
