Setting Up Outlook Desktop Application on a Windows Computer for LSUS Email (Student)
First Time Setup
If this is the first time you are launching your Outlook application, follow these steps to configure your student email account:
- Launch "Outlook".
- When prompted to enter an email address, enter "[email protected]" in the field. Note: You are entering your username here, not your email address.
- Click "Connect".
- When prompted, enter your password and check the box "Remember my credentials".
- Click "OK" and then click "OK" again.
Adding LSUS Email to an Existing Outlook Setup
If you already use Outlook for another email account, follow these steps to add your LSUS email:
- Launch "Outlook".
- Click the "File" tab at the top left.
- From the "Info" ribbon on the left, click "Account Settings" and then click "Account Settings" again from the sub-menu that appears.
- Click "New..." under the "E-mail" tab.
- When prompted to enter an email address, enter "[email protected]" in the field. Note: You are entering your username here, not your email address.
- Click "Connect".
- When prompted, enter your password and check the box "Remember my credentials".
- Click "OK" and then click "OK" again.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully set up your LSUS student email in the Outlook desktop application.
