These guides are for LSUS Faculty, Staff, and students, attempting to set up their personal computers or devices on the LSUS wireless network.
We provide guides for common devices. If you have another type of device the steps will be similar albeit it may look different.
If you have issues getting your device on the network please drop by the Campus Wide Lab in the University Center or ITS in room 202 in the Administration Building.
Windows 10 Wireless Setup
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right of your taskbar.
- Look for the Wi-Fi named "eduroam". Select it and click "connect".
- Students enter your student ID for the username then add @lsus.edu to the end. For example a student with the student ID of z00000000 they would enter [email protected]. Faculty/Staff enter your LSUS username and then add @lsus.edu. For example, if you have a username of jdoe you will enter [email protected].
- For students the password is by default your PIN. For faculty and staff, it is the password for your email.
macOS Wireless Setup
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the top bar.
- Look for the Wi-Fi named "eduroam". Select it and click "connect".
- Students enter your student ID for the username then add @lsus.edu to the end. For example a student with the student ID of z00000000 they would enter [email protected]. Faculty/Staff enter your LSUS username and then add @lsus.edu. For example, if you have a username of jdoe you will enter [email protected].
- For students the password is by default your PIN. For faculty and staff, it is the password for your email.
iOS Wireless Setup
- Tap the "settings" cog.
- Look for the Wi-Fi named "eduroam" and tap it.
- Students enter your student ID for the username then add @lsus.edu to the end. For example a student with the student ID of z00000000 they would enter [email protected]. Faculty/Staff enter your LSUS username and then add @lsus.edu. For example, if you have a username of jdoe you will enter [email protected].
- For students the password is by default your PIN. For faculty and staff, it is the password for your email.
- Tap "Join" and then tap "Trust" to trust certificate.
Android Wireless Setup
- Tap the "settings" cog.
- Tap on "Connections".
- Tap on "Wi-fi".
- Tap on "eduroam"
- For EAP Method select "PEAP".
- Enter your [email protected] as the Identity.
For example, a student with the student ID of z00000000 they would enter [email protected]. Faculty/Staff enter your LSUS username and then add @lsus.edu. For example, if you have a username of jdoe you will enter [email protected]. - Enter your LSUS password as the password.
- For CA Certificate select "Use system certificates".
- For Domain enter "lsus.edu".
- For Anonymous Identity enter your [email protected].
- After entering this information, you should now be able to connect to eduroam.
ChromeOS Wireless Setup
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right.
- Click on no networks then click on eduroam.
- Set EAP method to "PEAP". Set EAP Phase 2 Authentication to "MSCHAPv2". Set Server CA certificate to "Default".
- Students enter your student ID for the username then add @lsus.edu to the end. For example a student with the student ID of z00000000 they would enter [email protected]. Faculty/Staff enter your LSUS username and then add @lsus.edu. For example, if you have a username of jdoe you will enter [email protected].
- For students the password is by default your PIN. For faculty and staff, it is the password for your email.
