When you apply to LSUS, your myLSUS ID and password are created upon the submission of your application to LSUS. However, the account that gives you access to LSUS apps such as Moodle and Student Email via Single Sign-On (SSO) is created separately at a different time.
First-Time or Returning Students
If you are a first-time LSUS student or a student returning after an absence of one year or longer, and
- you are registering for the currently active semester
- Your SSO account which gives you access to Moodle and Student Email will be created within 48 hours of registration.
- you are registering for the upcoming semester
- Your SSO account which gives you access to Moodle and Student Email will be created once LSUS activates account creation for that semester. This activation date varies each semester and is not tied to your registration date:
- For the Fall semester, account creation usually begins in early August
- For the Spring semester, account creation usually begins in early November
- For the Summer semester, account creation usually begins in early April
- Your SSO account which gives you access to Moodle and Student Email will be created once LSUS activates account creation for that semester. This activation date varies each semester and is not tied to your registration date:
You will receive an email notification sent to the email address listed in your myLSUS profile once your SSO account is created. After that, your registered classes will appear under the Course overview in the Moodle Dashboard
Currently Enrolled Students
If you're already enrolled in the current semester, any changes to your class registration should be reflected in Moodle within 2 hours.

Application

This is the process of signing up for specific classes. It happens after you have been admitted. Registration allows you to select courses for the semester and officially enroll in them.
